Documents Required for Travel

Once you get your work visa from Embassy along with all celebrations it is the time to prepare your documents for travelling. The real fun will start when you will come to Germany. Here is the list of documents, which you will need after getting your work visa. 
  1. Your passport with a valid visa.  
  2. Three-month travel insurance starting from the day you travel.  
  3. Your residence booking confirmation. A hotel or any other residence where you will be staying after reaching Germany.  
  4. Visa Protector.  
  5. A confirm ticket. 
These documents are self-explained by titles but let us go through with some in detail. 

2) Travel insurance  
It is required to have a valid travel insurance before flying to Germany. You can get it from Pakistan all most all insurance companies are offering insurance.  Do not forget to tell them you need this insurance for Europe (Germany). You can also ask your employer for the insurance. In most of the cases, the employer agrees to pay for your insurance.  

4) Visa Protector  
We have heard the different opinion on getting visa protector after the visa. Visa protector is a stamp or you can say a note on your passport, which tells you have registered yourself as a Pakistani labour working abroad and you have the basic insurance etc.  For more information, you can have a look at visa protector authority website. 

For us, it is important to get it because on the immigration desk you will say I am going to German to work. They have the right to ask you for the visa protector. In a recent case, the officer looked specifically for visa protector and entered the protector number in the system. Therefore, it is better to get the visa protector if you are coming to Germany on a work visa.

We  assume you have gone through with the list of required documents before getting the e mbassy  appointment. If Not? Go through with the list of required documents and book an appointment from Embassy in Islamabad or Foreign Office Karachi .   Let us try to  see  your day in the embassy.
